Kaiser Saturday Sketch August # 4

Here is my layout for the last Kaiser sketch for the month.
I have used an older paper this time, although its not that old. Homemade Collection was perfect for this layout as it has a lot of  Family saying's and because it was for Daniels 30Th birthday I wanted blue and brown colours.

I wanted the little squares with the family names on them to use on the bottom of the page.

I cut these out of the 6" Paper Pad and used foam mounting tape to lift them up a little.

I showed my Mum and Dad this layout today and they were quite surprised that I had done this layout already as the Party was only the day before which was Sunday. Its great having your own printer you can upload and print your photos straight away.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch August # 2

Well I did say I would be back with Kaiser's August Sketch no 2 and this is it.
I love the opportunity to be able to scrap or make cards using different brands of paper and when you actually see layouts or cards done with them, you can see that we all have our own unique ideas and interpretations. I love way the Hunt and Gather can be used it many different ways and not just for Camping or Fishing you just have to think outside the square.
I have used one of the 12 x 12 sheets of paper and the Paper Pads and Embellishments.
The stickers are from the Sticker Sheet that matches even the banner in the corner.
I have printed out the story and then brushed it over with Tim Holtz Distress Ink, to give it a dirty look.
Just a little tip if you put powder on the back of a sticker it stops it from sticking.
I was then able to use some mounting foam on the back of the bird to lift it up a bit.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments,
 Cheers Shelley

Kaiser Saturday Sketch August # 3

Well I am back with the Kaiser Challenge for August no 3, I have done no 2 but I wanted to put this one up as its another one of our Dear Aunt.
When Jessie was little every time, Aunty Buster saw her she always had a little packet of Smarties to give her. This is one of those special moments that will always be with Jessie and she will remember forever.
This photo was taken at Christmas time 1993 when Jessie was 3 years old and she is unwrapping her pressie and she was looking for those Smarties.
I have used Kaiser's Belle Collection using the 12x12 paper and the little Paper Pads as well as some of the Embellishments.
I wanted to show you a close up of the new Kaiser Sparklets as they worked brilliantly for the Smarties.
I will be back tomorrow with Kaisers no 2 challenge.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch August # 1

Well its been a sad week for our Family this week after the passing of our Great Aunty Buster, yes that was her name more of a nick name really. When Gary and I first married 25 years ago this year we actually lived in her house at Moorooka and we renovated it for her.
I have actually been doing layouts of her all this week and started on the Sunday morning and she passed away on the Sunday afternoon, so I thought these layouts were my way of remembering a very Special Lady.

She came up here from Sydney to live closer to family and we had many a fun time being with her celebrating Birthday's, Christmas, and just the normal family get together's.
This is Aunty Buster in blue celebrating her Niece's 50 Th Birthday who is also my Mother-in-law Ann, and the little girl is my daughter Jessie. So she is actually Jessie's Great Great Aunty.
I have used all Kaiser products for this August Sketch and of course my favourite at the moment Miss Nelly Paper Collection.
I have actually turned the sketch so I could use these photos.
I have added a close up of the embellishment's that I have used.
I will be back either later today or tomorrow with the other 2 Sketches that I have done
Cheers Shelley
I have also entered this in another challenge

Birthday Sundaes

Hop on over to Birthday Sundaes and see what there card challenge is this week. You have to use at least 3 Brads. This is what I have come up with, I have cut the circle card using my Grand Calibar and Grand Round Nestabilities Die. Then used smaller ones in the scalloped and round circle's to get the layered effect. Cut out the flowers with different sized flower punches and added some Kaiser rhinestones around the edges. Popped a Doily Die Canadian Kaleidoscope in the middle and added the Happy Birthday in a Kaiser rub on.
This card is going to Renata from Calligraphic Arts at Moorooka for her birthday. Also with this little box I made with the Grand Calibar and Grand Nestabilites.
Here it is from a front on view so you can see its made into a little box.
I have added the punched flowers and a few leaves and filled it up with chocolate.
I hope she likes these, I know she will love the chocolates.

Card Challenge

Here is a card that I made today for a couple of challenges, I have used Magnolia Stamp Tilda with Big Heart, coloured and added some glitter. I love using the Kaiser Paper Pads as there is no waste and heaps of paper to mix and match this one is Made With Love. I have used Nestabilities Dies for the shapes and added some Lace, Ribbon, Pearls and there you have it one easel card.
This is just a close up of Tilda with Big Heart, I am not the best at colouring with my copics but I am getting there it all takes practice.
These are the challenges I have entered my card in.

I hope you like this one,
Cheers Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Blog

Well over the last few months I have been very lucky in adding some new friends to the blogs I follow. Some of the ladies are trying out for a spot on the Cheery Lyn Design Team. So I thought why not I will give it a go seeing as I have a few of the Doily Dies. I thought Doily Dies were all that Cheery Lyn Designs made, little did I know that there are lots more, so go on over to www.cheerylynndesigns.com and check them all out.
This is a box that I covered with some paper and then I have used a Martha Stewart around the page punch. To get the Lattice look I have used  A2 Frame Die in Lattice FRM 115,cut it out twice and joined it together. Then I have used Doily Die English Tea Party DL101 and on top of that is the Doily Die Italian Flourish DL103,that I have cut 3 times and joined them together folded them over to get the Doily to look like a flower. The Butterflies are from Exotic Butterfly small set of 3- DL113 and then I have used the Small Angel Wing-Two Layer Die Butterflies DL132A as the white background.
I don't have any of the flowers so I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Carnation Creations S5-049 to make the 2 sizes of the flowers and the leaves then added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the ends of all the flowers. The vine in the background is made with Spellbinders Borderabilities On The Vine Border S7-017.
And of course I have added the gorgeous Doily Dies Hearts from Heart to Heart DL106

I have added Italian Flourish DL103 cut in half on three sides of the box.
I just love using the Doily Dies on Cards and Scrapbooking as well and now I have my Vagabond to cut them with it's so easy and effective, especially the small pieces that gets cut out of the dies.
I have 18 Cheery Lyn Dies now and I am looking at adding more to my collection.
I really enjoyed making this little box and I am thinking of making a few more for pressie's.

Scrap The Boys Challenge

I am back this time with the my latest layout for Scrap The Boys Challenge for this month.
It is just amazing when you go through all of your papers there is always something that you can find that will match. With the theme taken from a photo we had to use the colours red, white, blue and yellow.
So out came this older piece of paper the yellow background and I just added the other colours with my Creative Memories Star Punch that embosses and punches the shape at the same time.
I used Cricut Cartridge A Child's Year for the image of the Rocking Horse and used the Card Candi that I got from Mandy this week at Scrappy-Go-Lucky. A little bit of ric rac and here it is all done.
Hope you enjoy this layout.

Birthday Sundaes Blog Hop Card

Well Birthday Sundaes were having a blog hop this week and whilst I commented on all of the fantastic Cards that all of the design team have made I forgot to make my card. So I whipped this one up this morning after making one last night that I wasn't happy with.
I used Cricut Cartridge From My Kitchen for the Cupcake and of course I had to add a Cherry Lyn Doily Dies this one is Italian Flourish. Some ribbon that had the cupcakes on it that I have had for ages but I knew I would use it one day. Added some Kindy Glitz for the frosting and there we are one Cupcake Card.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch July # 5

It is probably to late to put this one in the Kaiser Saturday Sketch # 5 but once I had finished it I just had to show you. This is all done from the new Hunt and Gather Collection that has just been released for August.
I wasn't sure if I would use it or not but I had fun with all of the paper, paper pads and stickers. I have even added the buttons from Up and Away Collection. The rhinestones are also a new addition to the collection made especially for Hunt and Gather.
This is a close up of the little fish that I cut out of the paper pad, I have put one of the fish on the end of the line even though he didn't really catch a fish that day,  but I just love the expression on his little face.
So here is my take on the sketch and this one is for you Corey, your growing up so fast, nearly 3 in this photo and now your 16.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch July # 4

Well can you believe we are in August already, the year has just flown by. Kaiser Saturday Sketch Challenge no 4 was last weeks but this is my take on it anyway. Can you tell my son is very proud of his new Subaru Impreza his first car that her actually cant drive until next year when he gets his license but he can have his lessons in it. I have used the Little Toot paper for this one and I traced around one of the other sheets of paper to get the backgound shape. I have used the alphabet stickers as well and used an older paper that had the tyre marks on it.
These are supposed to resemble tyres they are the old Christmas Carnival buttons that I have coloured in with Copic Markers and then used the gorgeous new Sparklets to make them look like a mag. These new Sparklets come in a variety of colours and I think they are going to me my favourite addition to my layouts.

This is the sketch.

I hope you enjoy the layout I have done see you soon with more.
