Decorations for Jessie's 21st Party

I thought I would share just a few decorations I made for my daughter Jessie 21st Burlesque themed party.
I cut the letter's out with George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge using shadow feature for the black.
These are just a few decorations that I made with various things I already had, The mannequins I made a Skirt and Corset in the red and black colours, with felt and tulle. And I used Tie The Knot Cricut Cartridge for the Corset shapes and did them in a variety of sizes and colours.

We had a frame covered in Tulle and party lights that was supposed to represent a mirror and I took the photo's as if the girls were looking at themselves in the mirror. And of course some make-up and perfume to really set it of.
Gary and I were so proud of Jessie, she made her own Cake in a Corset shape and Iced it with proper Icing and it turned out beautifully, we added some lace for the frills, some ribbon and a couple of roses.
A view from side on it really was a shame to have to cut it.
And I thought I would throw in a cheeky one of Jessie with her sparkly hat on.
My niece Rebecca did our hair and Make-up for the night, and the girls just looked stunning.
Happy 21st to our Darling Daughter we are now of to Sydney for the weekend so see you next week.

Maggie Lovers Challenge # 2

I have been quite busy over the past few weeks, my DD is turning 21 on Monday and we are having a Burlesque themed party on Saturday night and then a Family BBQ on Sunday so I will be pretty busy all weekend.
I have been waiting to do this challenge from Maggie Lovers Blog called Christmas Anything But A Card, until I got my new Koala Tilda Stamp from the lovely Bron at http://www.shopbron.com/
So here she is Koala Tilda surrounded by a gorgeous new Cheery Lyn Doily Die DL133 Aussie Kangaroo, that I got this week from Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky.
I just love this new stamp Koala Tilda and she is exclusive to Shop Bron, and she just need some extra Aussie things around her. I have used the little Kangaroo's that come out of the Die when you cut it. Just perfect for this challenge.
Here is a couple of photos of my little box not sure who is getting this one yet I may have to make a couple of them as pressie's.
I have also used the new Cheery Lyn Holly Flourish B148 and Spellbinders Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia's S5-055
Here is a close up of the gorgeous stamp, I hope to be back next week with some pictures and layouts of my DD 21st Party.
Enjoy Shelley

Girls Night In

My friend Andrea and myself  hosted a Girls Night In on Saturday and raised just over $700.00 to go to the Cancer Council of Queensland. I am sure all of you know someone who has been touched by this terrible disease and anything we can do to help is appreciated.
We made a lovely Christmas Tree made with Kaiser Paper and had over 100 prizes for raffles.
Thanks to some of our sponsors.Kaisercraft who kindly donated a couple of their New Collections, Tracy from My2Angels very kindly donated some goodie bags to give the ladies. Go over to her site as she has some amazing products in her store. Mandy from Scrappy-Go-Lucky has offered all the girls a little extra when they shop in her store. Go over to Mandy site as well, if you love anything Cricut, Copic Markers etc and of course the Cheery Lyn Doily Dies are my personal favourite.
Here is a photo of all of us after we had made the tree's.
The lady sitting in the front ( with the long brown hair)  is Tracey from Trace-Elementz, head over to her blog
and see how talented she is.
The Christmas Trees,
And here are the raffles that we had.
Thanks to all of the Ladies who attended on the night and even those who couldn't make it and still donated.
We had a wonderful time and got lots of prizes to take home.
Thank-you all

Maggie Lovers Challenge # 1

Well this is going to be a really quick post as I have to have this card in for Bron's very first Maggie Lovers Card Challenge Challenge #1 - Christmas using Pink and Brown or Red and Brown the challenge closes tonight so here goes.
This is my take on the challenge, there are lots of talented Ladies out there that can colour beautifully with Copic Markers, and I am not one of them but I do like to give it a try and I just love my Tilda Stamps.
I have used Secret Tilda and Wrapped Presents which I have cut out and layered a few times.
Here is a close up of the card,
I have also used Cheery Lyn Die for the Christmas Tree, Nestabilities Dies and a little bit of Kaiser Bling on the tree.
Cheers Shelley
