Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 34 - Wedding/Anniversary

Its been cold and rainy here in sunny Brisbane for the past week and I have not been very well either, so I have whipped up a quick card for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 34.
I decided not to put anything on this one as its for either a Wedding or an Anniversary and I dont have either of them coming up with anyone that I know.
I have used Kaiser Paper from the new 12" Paper Pad's Precious Moments and of course Cheery Lynn Dies, Mini Fanciful Flourish Die B117s, Two of Hearts Intricate Die DL 128, Sweetheart Frame FRM 127,
Lace Corner Deco B-B162.
I was lucky enough to be picked as the one of the Top 3 in the Cheery Lynn Weekly Spotlight so thanks once again for choosing my Hot air Balloon.
until next time

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 33 - Red, White and Blue

Well I did say I was going to do a page layout for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 33- Red, White and Blue, but I changed my mind and decided to have a go at making a hot air balloon. Well not to sure if it really is like a hot air balloon but it does have the same effect. We don't celebrate the 4 Th of July as its an American custom but have a look at the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspirational Blog to see what the talented designers have come up with.
The dies I have used starting from the bottom up are
Mega Tea Party Doily DL 158
Princess Tree B 180
Lace Corner Deco D B164
Exotic Butterfly Small Set of 3 DL112
Spring Flower Burst Doily w/ Angel Wing DL 221
I have also used White and Blue Card Candi available also from Scrappy-go-Lucky in various colours.
So here is my little Balloon and Basket of on a journey,
I added a couple of my little bears also in Red and White Jackets they look so cute
I love using the Lace Corners for a flower I cut out three of them and then just scrunched two of them up.
I have added the Card Candi in various places on the Basket and the Balloon, and of course lots of little Butterflies to help keep the Balloon in the air.
This is a close up of the Balloon shape I cut out 6 of each of the Die Spring Flower and 6 of the Wings and backed and glued them together.
This is the Mega Tea Party Doily that I have used for the Basket.
I have cut around the edges into the middle to form the basket, and then glued them together to form the sides of the Basket.
Well I hope you like my Little Hot Air Balloon I just have to find somewhere to hang it now.
Well keep an eye out for my first post on the Design Team  for Scrappy-go-Lucky I  have made some cards with the new PION Paper.
Enjoy Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog- 32 Roses

Well before I get to my card I would just like to say that I have had the pleasure of meeting Bj and Mike from Cheery Lynn Designs at the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo on the weekend in Australia.

I had lots of lovely conversations with Bj and I was certainly in awe of everything they make and both of them are just gorgeous people and they speak very highly of there talented Design Team. So here is one of my photos from the show.
Mike is just as he is in his Tutorial's, Creative, Talented and Funny.
Well better get on with my card.
The Cheery Lynn Challenge this week is Roses and one of my dearest friends Toni turned 50 and I made this card for her. Its very simple but I wanted to fill it with Roses that will always look real and of course stay fresh.
The dies that I used and get from Scrappy-go-Lucky are
Oval Doily Stacker One DL 183
Lace Corner D B 164
This is a photo from side on
And a close up of the Roses
Now seeing is was her 50th Birthday I wanted to make 50 roses but I also had to stack them up and make them look real so I bet you can guess how many I have cut out.
50 Roses with one 1 large, 2 medium and 2 small so I cut out 250 Roses so I had a very sore arm form cutting them all out.
Well I hope you enjoy seeing my photo with Bj and Mike.
Until next time

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog 31- Make it Manly

Well over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog they wanted us to make a card and Make It Manly, I have given it a go but I really like to do pretty cards so I struggled a bit as I always do when I make a man's card.
The dies that I have used are
Lattice FRM 115
Mini Fanciful Flourish B 117S
I have cut the corners of the Lattice Die to use as a corner die as the corner dies that I have are a bit girly so this worked just as well. I cut this image out of a sheet of old black and white pictures.
That's what I love about these dies they are so versatile, you just have to think outside the square.

Well that's all from me as we have the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo this weekend at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre at Southbank and I am of to do a Tim Holtz class in the morning with Tracey from Trace-elementz
and then on to the centre to help Mandy and Tereesa to get the booth ready. So don't forget to come along and say hi to all of us on behalf of Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky.
Cheers Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog For a Graduate

Well this weeks challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge blog is for the Graduate, so this is the card that I made for my Daughter's Graduation.
The dies that I used are
Miniature Rose B 152
Medium Rose B 154
Tropical Flourish B 127
Polynesian Sails Oval DL 153
Don't forget to head on over to Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky if you would like to purchase these dies.
And come along and see us at the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo and Convention booth no 72.
Its not really great colouring with the Copics and the photo isn't really good either, but you can read the words that I found on a quote site for Graduations better if you click on the photo.
Until next time
